We are located at 2964 White Mountain Blvd. Wylie Glad, has been retailing something her whole life. Her Grandfather owned department stores in the Midwest. She thinks that's where she gets her drive. Growing up in Tucson Arizona, she married and moved to Kansas. She has been a farmer-rancher, developed Glad Farms Saddle Horse operation ( her stallion Worthy Son ranking 7 nationally), finished a B
A in Art degree at the University of Arizona, and developed Desert Legacy Galleries, LLC. Wylie has had Desert Legacy for 20 years. Missing the wide open spaces and ranch life, Sonoita Arizona seemed the logical place for Desert Legacy. Desert Legacy moved there in 2010. Desert Legacy has developed over the years to accommodate popularity of trends, has diversified into other markets, but always kept it's customer service. Our customers are what makes us successful. Many artists are represented at Desert Legacy. The southwest is her first love. Desert Legacy is focused on western and southwestern art. Wylie sells handmade furniture, handmade rugs, accessories, jewelry, specialized framing for posters and originals, and above all believes in shopping local. Desert Legacy is a member of Shop Local Arizona. With her BA in Art, she can help with color consultations, design work, and faux finishes or art work. She has participated in The Tucson Museum of Art Show Case houses three times, has been in the Tucson Citizen Homes section five times, taught faux finish and recycle furniture classes at American Home Furniture, at Ratheon, as well as at her store. She was a member and secretary of the Campbell Avenue Business Association.
