What a Year it Has Been
This past year has been nothing short of extraordinary, filled with unforgettable moments, challenges, and growth. The journey has had its highs and lows, but it has far exceeded any expectations I had when I first took on this role.
On Saturday, I had the bittersweet honor of passing my title to a dear friend, Gianna. Knowing that she will carry on the legacy we've built is both comforting and exciting. I am thrilled to spend another year alongside such an inspiring and supportive group of people who have become like family to me.
Reflecting on this year, I realize how much it has shaped me. From the privilege of riding some truly amazing horses to working tirelessly on improving my own, each experience has been a step toward realizing my dreams. I've had the opportunity to teach and share my love for rodeo with the community, forming bonds that will last a lifetime. The lessons I've learned—both in and out of the arena—have been invaluable, helping me grow not just as a rider, but as a person.
As I step into my new role as the Sonoita Rodeo Queen, I am filled with excitement for what lies ahead. The future is bright, and I’m ready to embrace every challenge and opportunity that comes my way. I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support, encouragement, and kindness I've received from everyone this past year. It has truly been a dream come true.
I want to thank a few people, but I have so many, so I won’t fit everyone but you know who you are and you’ve truly made an impact on my life. Thank you to all our sponsors this year for making it all possible. Thank you to my amazing family for hauling me and putting up with me, I couldn’t have done it without you guys. I had a dream and you guys just said okay and made it happen, words can’t describe how greatful I am for you guys. Thank you to Chance Shurtz for letting me use a couple of your horses when mine were down. Thank you Helen Kilpatrick our wonderful coordinator, the amount of work you put in is just so unbelievable, I can’t wait to spend another year with you. Finally thank all of you for your support and love I’ve got in this journey!
Here’s to another incredible year of growth, learning, and making memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being part of this amazing journey with me. Let’s make the next chapter even better!
