TONIGHT (2/5) at 10pm, the back room of the Burren in Davis Square (Somerville, very chill!) hosts a no-cover stand up comedy contest (sometimes funny!)

As always, we have a brand new lineup of stand up comedy hopefuls competing for fifty bucks and a discarded trophy we give out as a joke. The money is real though!

The winner is judged at the end by audience applause, which means your enthusiasm could encourage someone to keep pursuing comedy (uh oh!)

Get there early for good seats and get involved. 21+

This Wednesday at 10pm, the back room of the Burren in Davis Square (Somerville, very chill!) hosts an extra spooky, Halloween-centric comedy show! (there are decorations otherwise it’s regular stand up)

As always, we have a new lineup of stand up comedy hopefuls (who all have skeletons!) competing for fifty bucks and a discarded trophy we give out as a joke. The money is real though! Real scary!

The winner is judged at the end by (extremely haunted) audience applause, which means your enthusiasm could help someone text their parents about how they won a contest at 1am on a Thursday. That’ll spook them good!

There’s no cover, so get there early for good seats. Get involved!

TONIGHT at 10pm, Boston’s funnest, dumbest, corrupt, and occasionally funniest comedy contest takes over the back room of the beloved Burren in Davis Square.

Come out to the no-cover stand up show that features first-timers, traveling headliners, and that guy you know from that party I guess he does stand up?

Our weekly GRAND PRIZE is fifty dollars CASH and a discarded trophy (thanks Freecycle!). Who picks the winner? You, by staying to the end and cheering very loudly for your favorite comic. So basically you’ll be making dreams come true, and how could you miss that?

Grab a beer from Bartenders Sean and come hang!

This Wednesday (6/5), a whole new crowd of stand up comics descend on the back room of The Burren to tell jokes. It’s like Ocean’s 11 but much less impressive!

As always, new comics will be competing for audience approval and 50 bucks cash, plus bragging rights to their parents, who will fail to understand!

It’s one of the cities best stages and loosest hangs, so grab some friends and end your night at Somerville’s coolest/only 10pm show.

Wednesday (3/20) - Free Weekly Comedy Show @ The Burren in Davis - 10pm

Every Wednesday night, The Burren in Davis Square (Somerville) hosts an amateur comedy competition (50 dollar prize! Wow!) that also features some of Boston’s best comics.

Grab a beer in a spacious, comfortable space that’s great for performance and see first-timers wow their friends along with seasoned headliners running their newest/coolest material. There’s no cover and the contest winner is judged by audience applause (that’s you!), so come check out what critics have called “the funnest and dumbest night of comedy in Boston.”

This Wednesday, February 28 at 10pm, the back room of The Burren in Davis Square (Somerville) hosts a brand new lineup of local so and sos. Some of them are funny!

As always, it’s a no-cover contest and the winner is decided by audience applause. What do they win? Fifty bucks, a thrift store trophy, and the aforementioned applause.

The room’s usually packed, Bartender Sean is usually charming, and we are devoid of any moral compass so come out, grab a beer, and silence your phone. It’s polite! Okay see you there.

This Wednesday (1/23) at 10pm, The Burren hosts yet another stand up comedy contest that is sure to have everyone both flipping out and raising the roof.

It’s always a fun mix of brand new comics and extremely jaded not-new comics, it’s a cool space, and the vibe is always a hoot and a holler. Plus, you can hoot and holler at the end to decide which comic wins fifty bucks and a trophy we found in a dumpster.

Get there early for good seats and enjoy the no-cover show has stolen hearts and minds from the Davis Square T station to the other Davis Square T station.

This Wednesday, Boston’s funnest no-cover comedy contest boldly returns to Davis Square at 10pm.

Come see a new lineup of hopefuls compete for audience approval with their best 5 minutes. At the end, whoever gets the most applause walks away with fifty bucks cash and a trophy from some unrelated, long-forgotten venture. It’s poetic!

It’s all hosted by me, Boston’s official Commissioner of Cranky Lady Comedy. I got a letter from the governor and everything but I’m too busy to post a picture sorry.

The shows have been a blast so get there early for good seats and we can keep packing the place out.
