University Place is across from the PO in Harvard Sq. “Wait” is a drawing on translucent Dura-lar w/ torn and collaged paper towel, micron pens and framed w/ museum glass.

What I’m working on now… “Low Tide” you can tell where my heart is… alas… In my mind I can hear the stones and bits of shells falling against one another as the clear line of wave moves toward shore. Wish I was there… gellirollpens and clear extra heavy molding paste on cradled wood panel. !

In honor of Flag Day and No Kings Day, here is a photo of my painting “to Ribbons” which is part of a large series of works on paper of the American Flag. I began this project soon after 9/11. There are about 20 works so far and “to ribbons” is one of my favorites. I’m posting it here now because I feel this series has resonance for us today. The project is called “Reclaiming the Flag and was my soul searching means a redefining, the concept of patriotism and discovering what it means for me. American flag. What I’m working on now… this is called Under Water” and it’s micron and Jelly Roll pens on 10x10 inch cradled wood panel with Dura-Lar. I’m having so much fun w/ the Gelly Roll pens! Wish I’d known about these earlier!

What I’m working on now… 2 10”x10” wood panels side x side, the medium is micron and gelly roll pens plus semi-opaque molding paste, Xtra-heavy semi-gloss gel and extra heavy molding paste. I pasted some interesting packing material on the left side but it didn’t work in a big way so I tore it off and it left a residue that I worked w/ using the pens and voila! I love manipulating mistakes so they work—actually, is anything a mistake??

What I’m working on now. This is a piece I thought was finished awhile ago but have gone back into. Liking it better now that I’ve changed it. At times I just love going back into a piece and monkeying around with it. Who knows what will come up and I like that element of surprise! Would love to hear your thoughts. If you have any comments, please share them here. Together is made of 2 8”x10” cradled wood panels.

The drawing I’m working on now—nameless at this point. On the top there are snatches of a very bright white that is actually light glinting off transparent molding paste. Made of 2 separate cradled wood panels—a bottom and a top—that were created independently then brought together. The size is
16”x10”.Not sure it’s finished and would love your comments.
