We are a west coast swing venue that hosts weekly lessons and social dances at the Cambridge Masonic Hall (1950 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02138). West coast swing is a smooth, grounded style of swing dancing that can be danced to pop, blues, R&B, and a variety of other genres. We offer lessons for every level of dance experience; everyone is welcome to come learn! Our weekly dance:

Friendly reminder that Dancing Fools will be saying goodbye next week, so please come out and play with us one last time! Wednesday night dances will continue at the VFW under Joe's direction, so keep an ear out for announcements from him.

This is it folks: our last month as Dancing Fools has officially arrived ❤️ We'll see you on the dance floor three more times, so please make sure you come out and play with us soon!

December series class registration closes tonight at 7pm! The December class session will only run for 3 weeks (12/3 - 12/17) and includes the WCS 100 Beginner Series with David & Alex as well as WCS 204: Special Topics with Elizabeth & Tom. You really can't go wrong no matter which one you choose- just make sure to sign up on time ⏳

Tomorrow's the day: our free Dancegiving is finally here! There are NO CLASSES this week, just the Bookends show at 8pm(ish) and then social dancing until 11:45pm as usual. What is Bookends? Back in the day, it was a way to poke fun at very silly rules that prevented folks from dancing whichever role they wish in competitions. Nowadays, it's a way to celebrate dancers of all genders leading, following, switching, and generally finding joy in WCS! It was also historically performed very late at night and involved some... creative... costuming and choreography choices. Much shenanigans will ensue, so come prepared to laugh and cheer loudly 🎉

Some friendly reminders:
😉 Bookends is traditionally a PG-13 show. If that’s not your thing, just come for the dance
❌ No recording allowed. Some acts may have a designated videographer; otherwise, phones away, please
❌ No classes this week! If you’ve never danced WCS before, we recommend joining us another time
✅ Cheer loudly and often! This is very much an un-serious event
💸 Everything is FREE this week

Hello good people and happy almost Wednesday! For those of you who weren’t present during last week’s announcements, there are some big changes to Wednesday nights coming in 2026: Dancing Fools will end its nearly 15-year run as Neal, Joe, and Alli move in different directions, still with the best of intentions for one another and for the community as a whole. Neal will be stepping away from the west coast swing world and stepping deeper into the psych world; Joe will continue to run Wednesday nights under a new name (more info coming soon); Alli will be stepping away from Wednesday nights and focusing on other pursuits in the west coast swing world. Our last night as Dancing Fools will be December 17th, so please come out and play with us one last time before then ❤️✨💃🕺

We will be open the night before Thanksgiving for a FREE night of dancing, plus a Bookends show in place of classes at 8:15pm 🤪

It's heeeeeerrrrrreeeee!!! For your spooky enjoyment, the Dancing Ghouls is putting on a Wicked Wednesday Halloween dance like no other... will we see your spectre there? 🖤 🎃

Friendly reminder for folks wearing costumes that you should be able to see easily and should avoid costume with pieces that stick out or trail on the floor. Keep you and the dancers around you safe 🙏
