My diptych is finished..yayy! Yayy indeed because each panel behaved so differently.
I had only one criteria in mind when I stated: create a diptych that can be connected narratively more than physically.
One piece would have an immensely large area to rest, on the quiet side, the other not. A visual connection would be hard to achieve but who doesn’t like a challenge.
I believe I achieved that and am very happy with the result.
You’ll be able to see the panels separately when you swipe. The right one came out very quickly, in spite of the incredible amount of layers. The left one, only one small area actually, took much longer.
I like displaying them with a 2” gap in between as one piece. They can also be separated. In fact they have different titles:
Left: Stop Telling Me
Right: Silenced
What are those messages, the unending yapping.. are they words within your head or are they coming from some outside sources?
Will you silence them? Or will they silence you?
Still no title together as a one piece. Do you have one perhaps?
