STATEMENT ABOUT UPDATED REMEASURING PROCEDURES:
At SomerSplash, the safety of our guests is our highest priority. As part of our ongoing efforts to provide a safe, enjoyable and family-friendly experience, we have updated our ride height verification process for attractions with manufacturer-required height restrictions.
Under the updated procedure, if a SomerSplash ride attendant determines that a guest may need a height recheck, a supervisor will now conduct the measurement directly at the attraction rather than asking the guest to return to the front entrance for verification.
This change allows our team to quickly confirm height requirements while minimizing disruptions to a family's day at the park.
Height requirements established by ride manufacturers remain in place for the safety of all guests. In some cases, a remeasurement may be necessary if a guest's original measurement was affected by factors such as footwear, posture, hairstyle or an incorrectly assigned wristband. When a remeasurement confirms that a guest meets the height requirement, a supervisor will initial the wristband to prevent additional remeasurements throughout the day.
These procedures will help us maintain a safe environment while providing the best possible experience for every family that visits SomerSplash.
"The safety of our guests, especially children, will always be our top priority at SomerSplash and in the City of Somerset," Mayor Alan Keck said. "As a parent whose own children have spent many days enjoying the waterpark, I understand how important it is for families to feel both safe and comfortable during their visit. This change helps us continue meeting ride safety requirements while providing an experience that is respectful, efficient and family-friendly."
Thank you for choosing SomerSplash, and we look forward to welcoming you this season.
