Damn, Somerset… and all our Poke Besties y’all really showed UP yesterday. We’re honestly still trying to process it. There are so many people to thank, we don’t even know where to start.
This cause is something both Emily Olson and I are deeply passionate about, and it meant everything to celebrate Emily and her transplant journey in such a powerful way.
We have to start with the amazing businesses who donated to our giveaway raffle: My Happy Place Boutique, Somerscents Wild Crumb Sourdough Sodies & Co Oliphant Brewing, The Tini Face Bar, River Bend Massage Therapy Apple River Chiropractic, Katie Lee Photography, Wisco Throttle, Two Crafty Brunettes , Apple River Liquor, and Cloud Maarii Nails. You all had people going CRAZY over that raffle we love seeing that kind of hype for local businesses! �And a special shoutout to Emily’s mom for standing out in the cold running it like a pro.
Huge thank you as well to the local businesses who donated, discounted services, or partnered with us to make this event even bigger for the cause. A BIG shoutout to our front-of-house queen Ruby you carried us through long lines, wait times, phone calls, kept us fed, and worked from 10:30am–12am to keep everything running smoothly. We truly couldn’t have done this without you. And to our families who showed up to support us being surrounded by that much love meant everything.
And the biggest, most important thank you goes to YOU, our clients. Thank you for coming out, braving the cold, standing in those wild lines (we had no idea 😅), being patient and kind, driving from hours away, and trusting us with your bodies. These events only work because of you, and we can’t even begin to express how grateful we are. Seeing so many new and familiar faces was everything.
And just like that Somerset’s FIRST Donation Flash Event for Donate Life is a wrap. �Because of YOU, we’re proudly donating a big-ass check for $5,000.
