Somers America250 is planning a great day of music as part of our town's day-long celebration on Saturday, August 15th!

Join us for the Blood Brothers Band performing at the main stage at 5:00 p.m.! The Blood Brothers Band is an acoustic/electric cover band, with 4 original songs, that performs in Connecticut and Massachusetts. They are local musicians with strong ties to Somers!!

Somers America250 is promoting America250 events in Somers and the surrounding communities.

For all you Revolutionary War buffs, the Somers Historical Society is sponsoring "Revolutionary War - Living History with Paul Martinello" on Saturday, June 20th from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Somers Historical Society Museum at 11 Battle Street. In case of rain, the event will move to Somers Town Hall.

Celebrate Somers America250 with The Savage Brothers Band!

Saturday, August 15th at 6:30 p.m. at Field Road Park

The Savage Brothers is a six piece funkin', rockin', and rhythm group featuring a two-piece horn section. The Hartford-based band established in 1984 has performed all over New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and as far as Cancun, Mexico. The Savage Brothers have shared the stage with acts such as Tower of Power, Joan Osborne, James Cotton, Southside Johnny, NRBQ, The Guess Who, Marshall Tucker, Jimmy Vaughn, Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers, John Cafferty, Los Lonely Boys, and more. They have released two full albums including “Population 6” which has been critically acclaimed and sold over 5,000 copies. The Savage Brothers Band has won numerous awards including the “Best of Hartford” by Hartford Magazine. They’ve given over 6,000 performances and with total professionalism and consistent sound and stage presence, you won’t want to miss this band!

1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – Family & Children’s Activities throughout Field Road Park

1:30 – 2:00 p.m. – Children’s Concert by Christian Loftus at the Spartans Stage

2:00 – 3:00 p.m. – Performance by Tom Callinan, Connecticut’s first “Official State Troubadour,” at the Main Stage

3:00 – 3:30 p.m. – Children’s Performance by Magician TBD at the Spartans Stage

3:30 – 4:30 p.m. – Concert by Dave & AJ Acoustic from the band Shovelhead at the Main Stage
