GET DOLLY’D UP FOR THE SHOW!

For ALL of our 9 to 5: The Musical performances, we’re inviting our patrons to pay homage to the one and only Dolly! Come dressed in your best Dolly-inspired look — think big hair, rhinestones, fringe, denim, cowboy boots, pink, sparkle, or anything that says “Dolly!” 🤠💎🎀

Another reason to get Dolly’d up. On 9/25 will be donating to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, Dolly’s incredible early-childhood literacy initiative. The program provides free, high-quality, age-appropriate books every month to children from birth through age five, regardless of their family’s income.

Today, we join countless fans around the world in mourning the loss of the incomparable Dolly Parton.

Dolly’s talent, generosity, humor, and heart inspired generations through her music, storytelling, and unwavering belief in kindness. As we prepare to bring 9 to 5: The Musical to our stage, we are especially grateful for the joy, strength, and wit she poured into this beloved show.

We at Gateway Playhouse dedicate our upcoming production to her extraordinary legacy and hope to honor her by sharing the laughter, hope, and empowerment that have always been at the heart of her work.

Bold, empowering, and deeply human, The Va**na Monologues gives voice to real stories from women around the world. Through humor, honesty, and raw emotion, this groundbreaking work celebrates strength, resilience, and the shared experiences that connect us all. This intimate production invites reflection, conversation, and community: honoring the power of storytelling to inspire change and understanding.

Following the matinee on August 23rd, audience members are invited to remain for an optional talkback with members of the cast and a representative from Avanzar to reflect on the themes of the play, explore its connection to our community, and learn about resources that support survivors of violence.

After years of performing on renowned stages in Los Angeles, New York and Italy, Somers Point native Josh Bassett is coming home. On Thursday, Aug. 20, Gateway Playhouse will present “Jersey Magick Featuring Bassett,” a one-night-only fundraising concert at the Gateway that celebrates original music, lifelong friendships and the enduring spirit of South Jersey's community.
