As part of the 2024 Taste of the Valley food and wine events, and inspired by the Franc Fest Tastings previously held in the Santa Ynez Valley, Franc and Blanc is a reincarnated and newly improved tasting that highlights one of the most beguiling, intriguing and most successful red Bordeaux grapes grown here in the eastern edges of the Santa Ynez Valley – Cabernet Franc.

Wineries from all over Santa Barbara Wine Country will convene at Gainey Estate Vineyards for a special tasting focusing on Cabernet Franc and other Blanc based wines like Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. There will be highly curated food matched to these wines along with live music. Nestled amongst ancient oaks, with sweeping views of the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, this will be a very unique and special tasting not to miss.

It's BACK! Calling all "Franc-o-philes" to celebrate Cabernet Franc and those who craft a wine from this most unique grape. Expect a dozen or more wineries pouring their Cab Franc or Franc based blends (along with a white or pink of their choice), grilled snacks, a bit of music and ending with a bonfire on our beautiful pondside beach. (Do S'mores pair with Franc? You be the judge!). Food will also be available for purchase for those wanting a light supper. Participating wineries include (so far) Alexander & Wayne, Buttonwood Farm, Carr, Carhartt, Carlson, Foxen, Gainey, Habit, Longoria, Martelleto, Sforzando, Silver, Star Lane, and Turiya. Come help us kick off Celebration of Harvest weekend!

Unfortunately, we had to cancel FrancFest 2012, but we do plan to return in 2013.
