It’s been a very busy week in the Little Theatre! Last Thursday, August 13, we held auditions for the first show of the year: YOU CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU. During the course of the next week, theatre class students have worked with volunteer builder Dan Rainwater and director Sarah Barthel to get the set built! While there are of course many details to finish, including masking flats, paint, trim, and set dressing, it’s exciting to see the bones of the set all in place. We were delighted to begin blocking tonight! Thank you to everyone who’s been involved this week!

The proshot of the Broadway musical HADESTOWN, filmed on the West End with the five leads from the original Broadway cast, has extended its showings at the Santa Maria mall. If you’re interested in seeing it with some fellow LHS Drama Club students, look at last year’s Drama Club Google Classroom for more info!
If you can’t go at the same time or you weren’t in Drama Club last year, you can still check it out on your own!
