COMMUNITY PARK RENOVATION UPDATES

Great progress continues across the park as we move closer to the finish line!

🎾 Pickleball Courts & Pavilion
The pickleball area is in the final stages! We’re waiting on the last steps for the courts, including nets and dividers. The pavilion still needs gutters and electricity, and landscaping has begun around the parking lot. Framing is also underway around the prefab restrooms in preparation for the stone façade.

➡️ Opening Update: The courts will require repainting before opening. This adjustment will improve spacing and overall playability for players of all levels. While it adds a step, it will result in a better experience—we appreciate your patience as we get it right!

🚜️ Maintenance Building
The building is now fully painted and looking great! Interior finishing work will begin once electricity is connected, followed by restroom fixture installation. The driveway to the building is expected to be one of the first areas poured once new electric lines are complete.

🎤 Swagelok Stage
The stage continues to come together nicely, with the stone façade nearly complete. Crews are actively working in the electrical room to bring power to the building.

🚻 Entry Building
Big progress over the past couple of weeks! The framework is up, stonework is underway, and plumbing for the women’s, men’s, and family restrooms is ready for the next phase.

🚗 Parking Lot & Food Truck Lane
The parking lot has been cleared as crews prepare for a new layout. A highlight of this redesign is the addition of a Food Truck Lane, expanding space for vendors during festivals and community events.

🍉️ Pavilions
The largest pavilion, located in its original spot, now has its main beams in place and is ready for roofing. Two additional smaller pavilions are still to come—one near the playground and another by the sand volleyball courts.

⚠️ Construction Updates & Delays
🟡 Electrical Service Replacement: The original plan to reuse existing electrical infrastructure was not feasible after on-site evaluation. A change order has been issued to replace electrical service throughout the park, which is the primary cause of current delays.
🟡 Heavy Equipment & Safety: Ongoing parking lot construction and grading require large equipment moving throughout the site, making certain areas unsafe for pedestrians. Please continue to respect all fenced boundaries.⚠️ Important Reminders

🛝 Sebastian’s Playground is temporarily closed due to nearby construction for safety.
💦 Water service is not yet available, so please bring your own water bottles.
🚘 Parking is available at the small ballfields south of the park near SMS.

We know delays can be frustrating, but these updates are ensuring a safer, higher-quality park for everyone. We’re excited to see it all come together and appreciate your continued patience!
