New in progress! Sometimes the sample quilt can be a challenge. I like to pick from my abundant stash, and finding what’s just right isn’t always possible. Although, a fabric shopping trip isn’t a bad idea either. But this time…THIS time the fabrics on hand are coming together beautifully!

I’m so thrilled to have this pattern accepted by for their upcoming Voyage fabric collection! It is sooo beautiful❤️❤️ Then again, I’m partial to Northcott fabrics AND whales. It has 3 panels of swimming and breaching Orca’s with 3 water themed fabrics and a gorgeous border of more orcas! 😘😘

I’m soo excited🥳🥳 You’re going to love it!!

Have you ever pulled out a piece of fabric that has been waiting for years for the perfect project? Well I did the other day and I’m so pleased with how things going! This fabric is going into the sample for a new pattern I’m working on.

This fabric with its snowscape is a great call for winter and quilt snuggles. I’m so ready for summer to be over. It was a rough one for us! Two of my three brothers died and then about three weeks ago I had surgery on my arm and a lymph node removed. The node revealed metastatic malignant melanoma. Here goes the next circus ride!! We are staying positive and researching means and methods of dealing with this as naturally as possible.

Now for news of this fall…drumroll please…one of my was selected by (currently has to remain unnamed) a prestigious (in my opinion) fabric manufacturer!! The new fabric collection is another great representation of Alaska. Thankfully, Alaska doesn’t have a corner market on this new collection. I’m sure it will loved by all!

I’ve been diligent working on the pattern and it’s headed to my tech editor this weekend. For those of you that have been for me before, keep an eye out for an email.

Finished up my Pansy Parade quilt top yesterday! It’s been a long time I’ve made a quilt just because I wanted to.

Now to get it quilted🥳

It’s been a long minute since I’ve posted. Greiving is a day by day and, sometimes, minute by minute situation.

I’ve found comfort working through a few designs for new quilt patterns and now I’m creating a bouquet. It’s all progress!

It’s been a minute since I’ve done any posting and it may be awhile more before I do again. In the past few weeks I’ve finished and quilted two quilts samples. and are off to a local shop to hang in their store. It’s been nice seeing them finished in the fabrics the pattern was designed for.

These two quilts leave my studio having been well watered with tears of grief. My family has been dealing with the sudden loss of one of my brothers. He lived a full life and is missed very very much. It was very unexpected. But we know he’s in a better place. Then another brother who has been dealing with cancer had to be hospitalized for a time.

Our hearts are heavy and I’m taking a bit of a break from everything while we work through this. Thank you all for your understanding.
