It’s been a busy few weeks for Bassline Sound! 🎶 While our crew was holding down events here on the Kenai Peninsula, Paul loaded up and headed to the beautiful Alyeska Resort — where he’s been the official sound company for the Alaska REALTORS® State Convention for years.

From education sessions and award banquets to lighting up the final night band, Paul covered it all — audio, video, and lighting. And in true Paul fashion, he even found time to climb a ladder and help with decorations.

A huge thank you to the Alaska Realtors for trusting Bassline Sound year after year, and an even bigger thank you to our team back home for keeping everything running smoothly on the Peninsula.

And yes… video proof of Paul dancing while running sound for H3 Hawaii Reggae Band! Sometimes he does get to have just a little bit of fun!🤩

😅 Tired, dirty, sore muscles… and totally grateful. 🎶

After three wild days and maybe 6 total hours of sleep, Bassline Sound’s own Paul Wright wrapped up another year as stage manager for the Salmonfest main stage—making sure every band hit the stage on time, every changeover went smooth(ish), and every bit of chaos somehow turned into music.

It’s nonstop moving parts, tight turnarounds, and just enough coffee to survive it. And honestly? We love it.

Huge, huge thank you to Salmonfest for having us back—this is one of our favorite weekends of the year. Big shoutout to our friends at Creative Lighting & Sound (always a blast working with you), and to Bassline’s crew, Bob, Matt, and Carter for going full throttle all weekend long.

And an extra thank you to Ryan Bell for showing up strong for setup and teardown—your help never goes unnoticed.

We’ll catch up on sleep later. Maybe. ❤️

🎉 Staff Shout-Out: Matt Mabrey! 🎉

Matt’s been part of the Bassline Sound team for years and plays a big role in keeping things running smoothly—especially during big events like Salmonfest.

This is his second year as Paul’s right-hand guy for the three-day weekend, and he works hard from sunup to sundown (with almost no sleep) and still brews up coffee for the crew every morning.

Fun fact: Matt played for years alongside Paul and Bob in the Mabrey Brothers Band—so he brings both musical chops and serious work ethic to the table.

We’re lucky to have you, Matt—thanks for being such a solid part of the team!

🎉 Special Staff Shout-Out: Bob Mabrey! 🎉

Bob’s been part of the Bassline Sound crew for several years now, and he’s an amazing asset to the team. Whether he’s behind the board or helping run a smooth show, Bob brings experience, heart, and good vibes to every event.

Fun fact: Bob and Paul played together in the Mabrey Brothers Band for over two decades—so music’s definitely in his blood!

🎉 Staff Shout-Out: Ryan Bell! 🎉

Ryan’s been with Bassline Sound for many years now, and if you’ve been to any of the big shows—like the Levitt AMP Soldotna Music Series, you’ve definitely seen him in action.

He’s one of the key guys making it all happen behind the scenes. From hauling gear to setting up and tearing down, Ryan handles a ton of the heavy lifting (literally) that keeps these events running smoothly.

He’s also got a solid background in live sound and has played bass in bands all over the peninsula—so he knows the music world inside and out.

We’re lucky to have him on the crew. Big thanks to Ryan for always showing up, working hard, and being a major part of what makes Bassline Sound tick!

Kenny shows up every Wednesday for Music in the Park—helping set up, tear down, and haul gear like a pro. His work ethic, positive attitude, and sense of humor keep our crew moving and smiling all day long.

In his spare time, Kenny’s also a talented drummer, and we’re lucky to have his energy on our team. Reliable help like this is rare—and we appreciate the heck out of him!
