A great half day workshop with photographer Libby Scott.

Friday, July 22nd, from 9am-12pm for $30.

Learn how to create and compose compelling photographs. Learn how your camera works and techniques you can use to take great pictures that really tell a story. Learn the secrets of perspective as well as how to edit, print, and share your images on social media. Join your classmates on a photoshoot (a short walk outside the LOLA Building) where you can utilize the skills you just learned and top it off by sharing those pictures with your class.

All cameras and cell phones that take pictures are welcome!

Pictures at an Exhibition Concert, scheduled for 4/28 is being rescheduled for next winter. We will keep you posted!!

Join us at our next concert, Pictures at an Exhibition, on Sunday, April 28th at 6pm!

There will be wonderful music- with artwork inspired by and choreographed to the live music performance.

The concert is a special multimedia event that will combine visual arts with a piano duo performance of Pictures at an Exhibition and Pines of Rome by Monique Kunewalder and Lynne Talley. We are creating our own “Fantasia” like event with a UUFSD twist. The first portion of the concert will include artwork created by young artists from Lux Art Institute that will be “choreographed” to “Pictures at an Exhibition,” while the second half of the concert, will include watching Cardiff painter, Gerrit Greve paint real time to Pines of Rome.

To top it off, a portion of all ticket sales will be donated to Lux Art Institute, located in Encinitas, to help fund their K-12 Art School Scholarship Program, which provides hands-on quality art instruction to school-aged children.

UUFSD is proud to present Monique Kunewalder & Lynne Talley’s piano duo, a performance of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and Respighi’s Pines of Rome on Sunday, April 28th at 6pm.
