I love to paint and get messy! I was so scared to make a mistake. Through art I realized there are no "mistakes" and I had to go for it and express myself. My first painting was "Big Momma", in honor of my mom who had passed away. Her message "attitude is everything", tells my story. After 30 years as a mental heal

th therapist, I found that painting and sharing my art was another effective way to connect with people. My first series of paintings, “The Girlfriends” features different kinds of women with messages about being ok to be yourself! Currently, I am obsessed with cacti, and a few coyotes…of course filled with bright and crazy colors reminding me of when I lived in the Tucson desert. I paint primarily with Gouache, watercolor and a little acrylic,(when I am feeling brave). Each painting has its own story, please ask me for details!
