In the midst of the mess of trying to open a shop, we lost an American icon , and by my accounting a saint. Dolly Parton represented the best of us, the epitome of kindness and grace. She accepted anyone and everyone and never made anyone feel small. she put our struggles to melodies and sang us into redemption. My hippie heart is sad in a way I can’t quite grasp, so I decided to make some Dolly angels, complete with gaudy rhinestones because I think that’s how Ms.Dolly would want it. So when you come into my shop and you see her dangling from the ceiling, maybe you will be reminded that community, kindness and love are the things that truly make us great. Rest high on that mountain Ms.Dolly, your light in this world will be missed.

Started moving some things into the new space today!!! Can’t wait to get it all painted and decorated and set up! We will be hosting knit nights, lessons, classes and for all you dungeons and dragons enthusiasts.. game nights! My husband over at Fifth Sin Foods will be making some snacks as well! We are so excited!! Shop will be located at 1911 25th street! Snyder is a great little town, let’s all find some community together!

Fresh out the dye pot! I’m happy to say that I’ve found a delightful source for this silk mohair blend! This is a 75%mohair and 25% silk blend lace weight yarn. The skein sizes are huge at 420 meters, which if you know, getting a skein of this size in this luxury blend is almost unheard of. These will be in my shop for 24 dollars this week! Moonchild got an upgrade today! New space in the same great location right here on the square. Come on in and see us at 1815 25th street located inside Layered Spur on Deep Creek. This is your only spot for miles around to get quality hand dyed yarn! I do all of this color magic right here on my little homestead right here in Snyder! Don’t know the fiber arts?
