This is what our community is built for. A dream team of sculptors explore glass-flameworking in Ben Belgrad (đŸ»Drinking VesselsđŸ») and Ian Silverman’s (ENSglass) workshop.

A special storytelling performance by photojournalist and musician Tamir Ben Kalifa serenades a background of art-making and exploration from nerikomi clay techniques with Joanne Seongweon Lee, working with large-format 4x5 at the Maroon Bells with David Benjamin Sherry, beginning adult wheel throwing with Ann Goldberg, and advanced ceramics studio practices with audrey yoeun an and Shoji Satake.

Drawing beyond the fear of a blank page, a student used the Anderson Ranch campus as a muse in Esteban del Valle’s Esteban del Valle painting and drawing workshop.

Every Friday all summer, our interns clear the studios so the next workshop can begin. This week, they turned that ritual into something you can walk through.

Meet “Turnover” an exceptional show put together by our summer interns, on view through Friday in the Fisher Photography Building.

The name says it all. “Turnover” is the hard, cyclical work of resetting studios between workshop weeks, the kind of shared effort that builds a bond you can’t fake. That same energy went straight into this exhibition.

Most works are for sale, and 100% goes back to the artists. Come see what this crew made, and send them off with the support they’ve earned.

Anderson Ranch Arts Center is now accepting applications for several winter studio assistant positions that run from October 5, 2026-April 30, 2027 in Snowmass Village, CO. Housing is supplied by the Ranch wuth a rental cost.

Finding the details, feature by feature. A workshop participant carefully sculpts the face of a live model in Basil Watson’s Sculpting the Figure.

A study in blue, gold, and black. This student body of work takes shape during the three-year Master Class, Topics in Painting: Studio Practices and Critique with Holly Hughes and Stephen Westfall .

Time to play, relax, and connect. Social Hour brought classmates, interns, coordinators, and faculty together for a little fun beyond the studio.

Piece by piece, the details came together. Workshop participants built intricate forms during audrey yoeun an and Shoji Satake‘s Master Class, Centering in Ceramic Studio Practice: Through Material and Meaning.

Strength, beauty, freedom, and the human spirit. Jamaican sculptor and Guest Faculty Basil Watson brings these themes to life in Sculpting the Figure.

The Aspen wilderness becomes an emotional landscape. In The Emotional Landscape with David Benjamin Sherry , intern Greta Alexandra-Parker experiment with large-format 4x5 photography to explore how place, process, and feeling come together.

Bright studios, big ideas at work. A workshop participant moves across a multi-panel painting in the Painting Master Class, Investigating Spatial Relationships in Painting with hilary pecis and Elizabeth Ferrill.

The best way to capture the essence of landscape photography is with a large-format camera. It’s slow, cumbersome, and not for the faint of heart but it makes the best of experiences and friendships. Thank you a thousand times over to photographer and guest faculty David Benjamin Sherry for helping us see with new and more vulnerable eyes the impressive landscapes of our sacred Roaring Fork Valley. Thank you to photo intern Greta Alexandra-Parker for bringing all of your support. It was a very special group and week.

What is it about miniatures that delights? Miniatures invite us to project ourselves into spaces we cannot physically enter, helping us understand form, scale, and spatial experience from the outside. They let us imagine ourselves there.

At Anderson Ranch Arts Center, guest faculty and architect Sung Ho Kim led this furniture design and woodworking workshop, where students used miniature models to explore scale, form, and space.
