DIRT RACE #2 – THE PHOENIX SERIES
After the first race of the series rained out, this weekend was finally our first real chance to race on the brand new and improved dirt track at DieHard Family RC Park and WOW was it worth the wait.
This track is truly a labor of love, community, and resilience.
The Phoenix Series means so much more to us than just racing. After the devastating floods that left the park under 8 feet of water, there were moments where rebuilding felt impossible. But just like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, this community came together to rebuild something even better than before.
Huge shoutout to Matthew Miller for designing this incredible layout and leading the Dirt Crew through countless hours of hard work to create a world-class racing experience. The attention to detail is unreal. Matthew also extended the driver’s stand 10 feet, rebuilt the pit lane and staging area, and helped transform the facility into something truly special.

Now let’s talk racing…
We had nearly 160 entries and smiles everywhere you looked. We started a little late because of all the rain and the track being too wet early in the day, but once racing started, the surface was AMAZING. The track held up all day long and produced some incredible battles across every class.
Thank you to Tyler Jones for being an amazing Race Director and keeping the program running smoothly all day long!
The atmosphere around the park was perfect. Kids were everywhere, new families were exploring the facility, sand drag racing at The Beach, crawlers were on the course, and people were enjoying every part of the park. This is exactly what DieHard is all about.

A huge thank you to She's Got Bowls Food Truck for serving up amazing food during lunch, and to the Round Rat crew for the pulled pork sandwiches and tasty s’mores after the races.
As the sun started to set and the temperatures dropped, we wrapped up an unforgettable day of racing under a beautiful sunset.
Most importantly, THANK YOU to the Dirt Crew that worked nonstop all day to keep the track in great condition and the program moving.
And thank you to EVERYONE who showed up, raced, helped, supported, camped, spectated, laughed, and made memories with us this weekend.
