I can’t believe it’s already time for fall classes, but here we are!

Returning students have secured their spots, my newsletter recipients and waitlisters have had a chance to sign up, and there are just FOUR remaining open seats for September.

There is one Tween Studio (level 2) spot, and 3 in the 10 & Up Studio (level 3).

⭐️PLEASE READ CLASS DESCRIPTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING UP ⭐️

While some 10 or 11 year olds would make sense to be placed in the level 3 class- most will not as it is the most advanced class and is filled currently with high school students. Send a message if you’re unsure which class is the best fit- happy to help find the best placement 🧡

Unfortunately the final week of summer camp had to be rescheduled because I got sick, and not everyone was able to switch to the new week 😔

But…maybe this is good news for you if you were hoping for an August art camp opportunity? Also, it will be running afternoons instead of mornings which might work better for some schedules.

☀️Camp days are: August 10-13, 1:00 - 3:15 daily☀️

Support youth art at Kla Ha Ya Days year round!

We are thrilled to bring back the Kla Ha Ya Youth Art Scholarship Fund for the 2nd year 🎉

Come visit the Snohomish Valley Youth Art Show at the Carnegie on July 18th from noon-5 pm and check out the AMAZING art created by Snohomish High School, Middle School, and Art Spot Studio students 🎨

🎟️🎟️🎟️Stop by the Kla Ha Ya info booth and enter to win a gift basket chock full of art supplies, an online art course, and more!

Last year, we raised 1K, which gave scholarships to 6 kids to attend summer art camps, and 2 to attend weekly fine art classes at Art Spot Studio, an award winning local art school for youth. Huzzah 🙌

This year we'd like to help even more kids access art lessons. Raffle tickets are $5 per ticket. The more you buy, the better your odds of winning are AND more money goes to the scholarship fund!

Donations are also gladly accepted- and it all goes to help get kids access to quality art education classes and camp experiences.

These happy VW vans were done by my week 1 campers and every time I look at them I’m filled with nostalgia. My parents had a VW pop top camper van (boring white though- not cool like these ones!), and we had many camping and road tripping adventures in it. My brother and I also had friends over often for driveway camping, lol!

Anyone else grow up with one of these, or remember epic family road trips?

Sweet little birds from last week’s Summer Art Camp 💞

These were done with oil pastels and the sgraffito method of putting down one layer of color first, then covering it with another, and finally scratching away the top layer to reveal what’s underneath. It makes for some fun surprises, very busy hands, and some great texture!
