I’ll be honest, I’m kinda struggling lately. My normal routines are all outta whack. Showing up for myself has been hard, much less showing up on social media. Perimenopause is kicking my ass, even with hrt. My creativity ebbs and flows, and while I know that’s just a normal part of life, I still beat myself up about it. I have crushing imposter syndrome that I just can’t shake (though I will say watching the absolute dumbest people on earth govern this county has gone a long way toward healing some of that). I can feel that low grade stress building over the looming slow season. As a business owner I’m bracing for the bottom to fall out of this s**tty economy (though yall are certainly keeping me busy so thank you for that ❤️). I feel…everything feels….off. 🤷🏻♀️ And to top it all off, my back is fu***ng killing me, man!
I’m sharing this though, because I saw a fitness creator who I really respect talking about their struggles to show up in life lately and go easy on themselves and, damn—I didn’t realize how much it helped me to hear someone who seems to have all their s**t together talk about their struggles. Not that anyone is mistaking me for having all their s**t together. 😂 It was extremely refreshing, so I guess since it helped me, I thought maybe someone else might need to hear it too. We’re all here getting our brain’s warped by social media, watching everyone put their best selves out there and not seeing their everyday, lived reality. We’re all doing our best, and that looks different for everyone, every day, so be kind to yourself. ❤️
