•2024•

Some of my favorite moments from the past year! Some days were extremely difficult and the year came with some major lows, but through it all, I had so many pockets of joy and laughter!
I learned so much this year and saw God’s faithfulness in more ways than I ever thought possible! So through it all, I am so grateful for this year and am so excited for all that God is going to do in 2025!
I am so readyyyyyy!

•New in the studio•

These paintings deserved a permanent spot on my feed! They are what I’ve been working on (amongst other things) behind the scenes and I love how they turned out!! They also have one common theme… they all perfectly depict my great desire for spring to be here already!!
The trees have been blossoming so I’ve had little glimpses, but now I’m just waiting for the weather to follow suit and stay notice and warm! Hopefully that’ll happen soon!!

•Grace•

A word that I’ve decided to embrace the last two months! That’s not what my word for the year was, but I feel like subcategories can exist right?!?

I’ve needed a subcategory for this season at least! 😅

So far, 2024 has brought some of the biggest challenges I’ve faced in a long time, BUT God in His Grace has brought some of the most amazing blessings into my life!

In all of this, Designs by Mia Lauren hasn’t been moving in leaps and bounds like I had wanted/ anticipated. It has gotten pretty discouraging, but at the same time I’m learning to give myself grace! Not every season is going to look the same, and right now this has been the season of small moves in the right direction!

There are some exciting things in store for March and my goal is that by then (in like the next week or so because it’s about to be March 😅), things on the art/biz side of my life will be at a more consistent place!! For now though, I hope you enjoy a not so sneak peek of one of my latest projects that I hope to be making into prints soon! (As well as selling the original!) 😉

I am so thankful for my DBML fam and for the patience I’ve been shown as I’ve been navigating through this year!
You guys are seriously the best!!

With Valentine’s Day a week away, I’m finally posting about the new cards I have available… better late then never right?!? 😅

I will have these cards available next Tuesday at the sweetheart market, so if you’re local, make sure to stop on by and see all the amazing Valentine’s Day goodies that will be available!

✨2023 in photos✨

This year had many ups and downs, but God was/ has been faithful through all of it!
So this post is to commemorate some of my favorite moments from this year and look back on all that God did in both my business and personal life!

Some of my favorite moments from this year included:
- moving into our new house
- painting so much more and creating my most favorite piece so far (floral world map)
- participating in 53 markets and growing my biz community
- becoming more involved in my church and making some of the most amazing friends and deepening other friendships
- watching several close friends of mine get married!
- turning 21 and feeling a little more like a real adult 😂
- creating beautiful commissioned pieces for some super sweet customers
- spending precious moments with my family
- becoming manager at Fork of the South
- selling several original pieces after just starting to offer them this year!
- adopting my sweet studio pup Maggie
- all the the pretty flowers I received/ saw this year that hopefully I can paint in the future!

(This list is definitely not in a particular order 😂)

So many more things happened this year, but this is all I have room for! 😅
Here’s to 2024 and all the things that the Lord has in store!

(There are so many people I could tag in this post, but I won’t fit everyone… you all know who you are though and I am so grateful for each and every one of you!)

Since 2023 is coming to an end really soon (how?!) and since I’m not really painting anything new at the moment, I’ve decided to do a top ten post!

Scroll to see my most favorite paintings from this year! It was really hard to pick just 10, but these are definitely up there!

At the beginning of the year, I made a goal to paint everyday for a year… though I didn’t do that (whoops 🫣), I did paint MUCH more then I have in the past and I am so proud of the progress!

So here’s to the end of an art filled year and more fun art in 2024! 🥳

One of my favorite parts of having my own art business is getting to send pretty packages to people all over the place!

And I definitely love making sure they get to you on time… especially during the holidays!

According to USPS, the last day for me to mail out your goodies to ensure arrival by the 25th (or before) is Friday the 15th! So the last day to get your orders in will be Thursday the 14th!

So if you’ve been eyeing something and want it before Christmas, make sure to get those orders in! 😉

If you are local, I will be doing markets until the 23rd (yes, the 23rd is correct 😅) so if you’re wanting any last minute gifts and can make it in person, make sure to keep an eye out for more information on markets near you!
