Historic Downtown Smithville Art Walk 9/26/26, Historic downtown will become a safe-walking pedestrian area, with the festivities occurring from 3pm-8pm.

There will be a variety of art mediums this year including wood workers, jewelers, sculptors, painters & photographers.

This next vendor is our downtown neighbor! We’re proud to welcome Cornelia Overton of Pawpaw Studio and Evins End Flower Farm to the 4th Annual Historic Downtown Smithville Art Walk!

Cornelia is the face of Pawpaw Ceramics Studio. Located in downtown Smithville, TN, Pawpaw Studio is a community ceramics and pottery studio that offers membership-based access to its facilities and tools. Members can take advantage of regular firings and participate in community events within a supportive environment designed for individuals of all skill levels who want a space to practice, learn, and create. Additionally, they collaborate with local and visiting artists to provide creative workshops in ceramics and beyond!

Come by and meet Cornelia at the Art Walk! She’ll be sharing details on upcoming happenings at Pawpaw Studio and offering gorgeous dried flower vases from her own Evins End Flower Farm 🌿💐🌸🌻🥀

Once you’ve strolled the Art Walk, head around the corner to her studio for a tour and some cookie decoration fun!

✨VENDOR SPOTLIGHT✨

We’ve got another talented vendor to introduce to you! Please welcome Mary Mathis to the 4th Annual Historic Downtown Smithville Art Walk!

Mary has been a resident of TN for 20 years and is a wife as well as a mother to 3 boys. Mary told me that she did ceramics in the 90s and then made a change to polymer clay. She has also made jewelry for many years. She is now back working with ceramics and making finished items along with ready to paint items and kits.

When I asked Mary about her favorite pieces, she told me, “I enjoy making handbuild ceramics and pouring vintage molds from the 70s and 80s & some of my favorite things to make are personalized, unique pieces for families.” She states she now has a 3D printer and can make personalized keepsakes that make wonderful gifts.

Be sure to stop by to see if Mary can hook you up with a cool item for your own keepsake or to pass on as a gift.

🌟VENDOR SPOTLIGHT🌟

This next vendor will ensure everyone stays hydrated & refreshed while enjoying the Art Walk! Please welcome “Run By Fruiting” to this year’s event! Run By Fruiting is based in Liberty, TN, and is a brand new business that just launched in 2025.

I am told the business got started as a fun family idea when the 14-year-old daughter was looking for a way to earn extra money. The family loves movies (and quotes them nonstop 😅), so together they came up with “Run By Fruiting” ….if you catch the reference, it’s from Mrs. Doubtfire! 😝

When I asked their favorite drink, I was told, “Shark Bait (oh-haha 🦈). It’s a nod to one of our favorite movies and always makes people smile when they hear the name.” As far as the best selling item the family states, “Our classic lemonade is always a hit …and you can never go wrong with a pink lemonade (lemonade + raspberry syrup). But personally, I’m a big fan of our blackberry + strawberry combo.” Those sound yummy 🤤!

This local family is just getting started with events, so be sure you stop by, grab a refreshing Shark Bait or Pink Lemonade and support their business!
