The lights have dimmed. Another show has closed. Another season has ended. This one was special in so many ways. On the director side of things, sadly, it was our final show with Ms. Swineford but Mrs. Evans returned to us from leave! But this program isn’t about us it’s always been about the kids, and boy did they have an amazing year! Hilarious and heartfelt fall plays ushered in the holiday season, followed by a hugely successful Breakfast with Santa. And then there was Newsies! I cannot say enough about the amazing cast of this show. They came together in a uniquely wonderful way, creating new friendships, welcoming new students and building strong bonds the entire time. It was truly inspiring and something they are still all talking about 3 months later. We took a fun trip to Playhouse Square to witness The Outsiders musical and then this season’s final production of Dare to Dream, my love letter to all things Disney. It was truly amazing! Our middle school kids shined so brightly and did such an amazing job, together with a crew of SHS drama mamas who introduced and encouraged a large group of our GES kids to see what it truly means to be part of our Dramily. Thank you all for your support this year and I cannot wait to get started on next year’s shows! Our 26-27 season will be announced at award this Wednesday! We will see you there!
