The Frank Creech Art Gallery

The Frank Creech Art Gallery We will have four exhibits every year during the Fall and Spring that run for four weekends each. A

The 1,500-square-foot gallery was a collaborative project among the students and faculty in the college's Department of Fine Arts and Graphic Design, the JCC Foundation and the Johnston County Arts Council. The gallery contains state-of-the-art exhibition space and a 750-foot reception area that will eventually be used for the public sale of art. The gallery interior is equipped with museum-qualit

y lighting, climate-control, hanging and security systems. Its gray, hand-finished concrete floors, contemporary white walls and distinct crown molding are designed to balance a modern feel with traditional Southern architecture.

GLOBAL MOSAIC Artist Feature!

How about looking to the trees for guidance?

Today we draw your attention to the painting by US artist Elizabeth de Sherbinin that was selected for CARAVAN's online "Global Mosaic" juried contemporary art competition.

Titled "Windshaped,” Elizabeth says of her oil on canvas painting: "Trees shaped by wind, so like ourselves shaped by the world around us, and the choices we have made. Different sizes, different shapes outwardly, yet the branches, like each of us, touch one another and become intertwined regardless of our differences."

To see Elizabeth's painting, read her full artist's statement and learn more about her, visit:

*ABOUT GLOBAL MOSAIC: "Global Mosaic" is an online CARAVAN juried exhibition of contemporary art focused on celebrating the rich diversity of our world and the importance of inclusion. 30 artworks were selected by the judges for the exhibition out of 120 submissions. To learn more about the exhibition and to see all the artwork, see: www.oncaravan.org/global-mosaic.
