🌟 2026–2027 Competition Team Tryouts Are Tomorrow! 🌟
We are so excited to kick off another incredible season at Encore Dance Academy and can’t wait to see all of our dancers at tryouts!
This year, we will be doing things a little differently. Our goal is to create the best possible placement experience and provide every dancer with the opportunity to showcase their potential.
📅 Tryout Information
• Plan on tryouts lasting approximately 1 hour
• Dancers auditioning for Specialty or Company Teams should plan on an additional 30 minutes
• Please wear all black dance attire with your hair pulled back and away from your face
During tryouts, dancers will be asked to demonstrate ballet and technical skills, along with learning and performing a short combination for Specialty and Company team consideration.
✨ New This Year
Following tryouts, dancers will be placed into a summer training class that best fits their current skill level. Over the next 4–6 weeks, dancers will have the opportunity to strengthen, refine, and perfect their skills before final team placements are made.
We believe this process will provide greater opportunities for growth, allow dancers to demonstrate their dedication and progress, and help ensure that every dancer is placed where they will be most successful throughout the season.
Our mission is to create an environment where every dancer is challenged, supported, and continually improving.
