Sometimes the vision is different than the expected outcome, that's the deal here with these two cups. I have been dabbling more into crossing art with ceramics and it's been quite the gamble since the magic happens in the kiln... *BUT* this has been an invaluable lesson not just in my art but in life. I have learned to evaluate, adjust, and try again. Patience can result in success! These cups are not my definitely of success, lovely cups, but not what was intended.

I've had a lot of questions lately regarding if I still paint and the answer in short - yes.
The truth is I got major burn out and funneled my creative outlet into ceramics in hopes that it would allow me to find joy in painting again. It has been slow but my winter goal is by spring time I'll have a healthy system in place to allow me to paint with joy, create with mud, and still be able to be the wife and mother I desire to be.
Tomorrow is my shop restock day (finally!) I'll have a very limited stock so if you really want something then you may want to show up on time!

The gang's all here!
These spoons were the most talked about items at my booth yesterday, so much so people would come in and say, "Wow, these are the spoons they were talking about!" The hostess in me wants to keep every single one to my self, but I have decided to share 😌you can expect these to be added to my Etst shop within the next week!

Gouache is starting to take over my mind, after the holidays I'll be diving in head first and I.can't.wait.

Do you guys enjoy my watercolors or gouache more? I love them both and I'll continue to use both mediums but that gouache just makes me 🤤 excuse me while I obsess.

There's something about a chocolate lab's coat that has so much depth to it. I'd give a million dollars to the one who guesses every last color used on Logan's portrait!

{Full disclaimer, I don't have a million dollars} *BUT* I am also that confident you wouldn't be able to guess every last one of the colors. The amount of layers I do are almost doubled with chocolate labs/brown horses than my other portraits. So wild!

Don't mind me, just over here with wanderlust on this one. I find so much joy where I live but how can you not want to visit Phi Phi islands?!
Did you know I do more than just pet portraits? Vacation memories are probably my next runner up I'm commissioned for and I enjoy doing them all 😎

I was commissioned to do one of my favorite pups and I was so excited to paint her.
She's my aunt's dog and she has the most incredible eye lashes I've ever seen. I have been grooming her since she was very young and my aunt and I always agree they need to stay each hair cut! How can you not gush over a face like that?
