The Dance Project is a dance studio servicing East St. Tammany Parish accepting students age 2 and up. Work hard, stay humble. 💜

The Dance Project, under the artistic direction of Tara Brewer, is dedicated to providing excellence in dance education, emphasizing the importance of proper technique and respect for the discipline to create and mold the dancer into a performing artist. Our mission is to build self-confidence and strong character in young people through the challenging techniques and artistry of dance in a positive and nurturing environment. Our faculty and guest artists are highly experienced and qualified teachers who have worked professionally in the industry as performers, choreographers, and directors.

Our very own Mrs. Anna was part of the first graduating class at The Dance Project, and 15 years later, she’s come back here to teach AND gets to bring her own little ballerina to work! 👯‍♀️

It’s moments like these that make these 15 years so special! We love you both so big! 💞

On this Technique Tuesday, it’s about that jazz walk! 🔥

Mrs. Bethany’s Junior Jazz class put in the work, and with the help of their army of squishies, strutted across the dance floor learning the technique to perfect their jazz walks! 👏🏻

Saints Sundays are OFFICIALLY back, and as much as we love our purple during the week, we rock the black and gold on the weekend! ⚜️

Some of our DP girls recently participated in the Jr. Saints Cheer Krewe program! Take a look at some of the highlights from their experience, including getting to dance on the field inside the incredible Caesars Superdome! We love to watch you shine 🤩

The wait is ALMOST OVER! 🩷

We are CLOSED today for Labor Day, but we officially will open our doors for season 15 TOMORROW! It’s going to be an incredible year! 🤩

Make your last-minute registration plans and adjustments now on our website or in the Dance Project app, read over the welcome letter to familiarize yourself with the latest happenings, and prepare yourself for an incredible year of growth, success, and dancing! 🩰

Today is a sad day for the music and entertainment industry, and we want to honor the legacy of the songstress who encouraged everyone to be their own kind of beautiful. Our kids through the years have danced to Dolly Parton’s music, and she paved the way for young people to pursue their passions and connect with the world around them. She truly embodied the Work Hard, Stay Humble philosophy we live by at The Dance Project. 🩷

When we wear our rhinestones and see a butterfly outside our studio doors, we’ll remember you. Your kindness to others and curiosity about the world around you will never be forgotten. We will always love you, Dolly. 🫶🏻
