Big Mike Brennan opened BraveLyttle Pickle Company in Slidell in July, selling handcrafted, all-natural pickled products at the Bare Good Market in Old Town Slidell.

“I came up with the original recipe of the red onions. From there, I started making cucumber pickles — the Cuke Nukes — thereafter,” Brennan said.

Doctors amputated his leg four years ago after years of complications from a knee injury he suffered in high school. Brennan said his disability payments were not enough to meet his needs, so he launched BraveLyttle Pickle Company to build financial independence.
