The Maine Event This page is all about the Maine Event Series Horse Shows! Our granddaddy- States is the September Show The Horse Show Series to be at!

We will make announcements on this page about the shows throughout the year. At our final show of the year, States, our Championship Classes award State Championship jackets with embroidered logo. We also offer the Maine Event Stake. In 2014 the class paid out $500! NOW IT PAYS OUT $1500 for that one class!

Christmas in July Horse Show, July 17-19, Skowhegan.
 Let's do a Christmas dessert and side dish evening! So if you make banana bread, zucchini bread, chocolate cream pies, apple pies,  pumpkin pie, dipped chocolates,  fudge, peppermint, bark,  eggnog, assorted relish tray with pickles, olives, etc.…  now don't go buy it at Walmart or Hannaford when you get to Skowhegan.… Unless you would do that for Home.
The following is a Mexican candy that Lisa King sent us from Arizona and you will all have a few pieces in your exhibitor bag. Look at this closely!!

Do you know Jamie Caesar? Well I know some of you do… And I'm very happy to say that I do! Her book is now published and available on Amazon. She is going to sign one and give it to me and it will be in one of our Christmas gift bags for a blue ribbon winner during our Christmas in July show! Folks, this is a true gem! 81 years ago today, this guru in the maine horse world was born. She has been president and director of many clubs. She has run banquets. She has been ringmaster and steward of many shows. At The Maine Event Shows, since our inception, she has filled in as ringmaster while she has always been in charge of ribbons and trophies! A joke about her age all the time… One show she's 121 of the next show she's 117… But today you find out… At 81, she is still truly incredible! Happy birthday Sylvia Corbett

We heard from an old friend who moved west. Her best time and best Show was winning a state championship jacket in ranch, missing it by half a point the year before! Lisa King has purchased a stall for the state championship show and is having us raffle it off to help with awards! That raffle will be held and drawn at the July show! So as the July show is Christmas in July… Someone will get a nice gift! Tickets will be $5 each or 3 for $10. We will post again the day before the show, and you may obtain them at the show in the office. We will draw the winner at noon time on Sunday of the July show! You do not need to be present to win.
