The Old World Theatre Company As the stories come to life, the audience and artists join together in an exploration and celebration of community, history, and life.

The OWTC is a theatre company where the artistic concentration is on the playwrights, the plays, and the characters. Founded in 2009 by Artistic Director Bill Raffeld, the Old World Theatre Company is completely comprised of alumni from the University of Illinois at Chicago. They are the in-house acting troupe of Congregation Kol Emeth.

On Saturday, February 9, we lost our dear friend and Old World family member Joe Garcia. Joe joined OWTC in our third season and performed in an amazing 18 productions. We would not be who we are without him. Joe faced the last two years with an incredible amount of humor and grace, reminding us again and again that "all you need is love."
