Senior Spotlight 💕
Today we are spotlighting Grace!
Grace has been a proud member of the Devonshire dance community for the last 5 years, dancing with the competition team since 2022. She has filled her life with dance including ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, modern, and hip-hop styles. Grace also works as a dance teacher and camp counselor with the Skokie Park District summer camps, where she enjoys sharing her love for dance with others.
Grace began her dance journey at age 4 with the Chicago Park District and Northeastern Illinois University Community Dance program before joining the Devonshire family. Grace will major in dance next year, with a focus in pedagogy, with hopes to become a dance educator and fine arts education advocate.
Grace is a 2026 graduate of Regina Dominican High School, where she was Co-Captain of the Orchesis Dance Company. Orchesis has given Grace the opportunities to choreograph original pieces, as well as work alongside industry professionals through the Giordano Choreography Project. Grace has attended many conventions, festivals, and workshops with DDCT and Orchesis, including the Illinois High School Dance Festival and the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters.
Grace would like to thank all of her dance teachers who support and uplift her and her dancing. Grace is forever grateful for her time at Devonshire.
