One of our most popular shows at Skokie Theatre was Funny Girl. The comedy, the spectacle, and the great music entertained some of the biggest audiences we had. This Saturday, Skokie Idol winner Dorothy Kapusta-Gibbons will perform from Funny Girl as part of our Mad, Mad, MadKap World: Broadway show. Sunday - 2pm at Skokie Theatre. We've lost our storage space, and can't stand the though of all this great stuff in a landfill. If you're a theatre company, you've hit the jackpot .... scenery, costumes, props, furniture, lumber and so much more. If you're a person, we have clothes, housewares, furniture and all the cool props we've used through the years. Everything must go.

It's a Mad, Mad, MadKap World! Join us and celebrate 12 years of concerts and musicals. Sat June 13 at 7:30 pm, Judy Rossignuolo-Rice and Daryl Nitz host an all-star cabaret spectacular celebrating the performers who have been entertaining us for years, including Dan Michel. Carla Gordon, The Boomer Babes: Jan Slavin and Pam Peterson, Bernard Rice, and a special performance by Girls Like Us: Laura Freeman, Beckie Menzie, and Marianne Murphy Orland.
Sun June 14 at 2 pm we take Broadway by storm and performers from our musicals return to revisit the spectacle. Featuring performances by Sean Caron (Man of La Mancha), Sarah Sapperstein (Anyone Can Whistle), SarahAnn Sutter (Pippin), Tyler Lord (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum), Graham Todd (Company), Willow Schneider (South Pacific), Elijah McTiernan (Forever Plaid), and Cheryl Szucsits (Falling For Make Believe). Exciting news from MadKap Productions

Dear friends and patrons,

As you know, Madkap Productions has been performing plays and musicals at the Skokie Theatre for the past 12 years. You also may have heard that the Skokie Theatre will soon be sold.

The new owners have invited us to continue performing our shows at our Skokie Theatre home in downtown Skokie. But we have also been invited to move our shows to the former Northlight Theatre space at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts on the north edge of Skokie.

We will be on hiatus for the summer starting July 1, as we decide our next move. But there's lots of exciting things happening between now and then so keep an eye on this space.

We're not sure yet which offer we're going to take. But we are sure that we'll be back, and that we're looking forward to spending time in the theatre with you again.

In the mean time, we need your help to stay in touch. MadKap and Skokie Theatre have been interchangeable for the last 12 years, but at some point we will have to separate our website and our social media. So please, followers of Skokie Theatre, take this time to also follow us on our Madkap Productions page so that you don't miss out on any of the news and we take this exciting next step.
