Experience the Beauty of Eternal Light at Chicago Master Singers' Fall Concert
Chicago Master Singers’ upcoming concerts will captivate audiences with some of the world’s most cherished choral masterpieces. Audiences know and love Schubert’s Mass in G, Fauré’s beautiful Requiem and his Cantique de Jean Racine. Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna is fast becoming one of the best loved works for chorus and orchestra. Read more below about this remarkable masterpiece of our time.
These beautiful works will be performed with the Ars Viva Orchestra under Maestro Alan Heatherington’s direction. The soloists will be soprano Michelle Areyzaga, tenor John Lee and baritone Peter Wesoloski.
The concert will begin at 7:30 pm on Friday, November 8, and at 7:00 pm on Sunday, November 10. Performances are at the beautiful and reverberant Divine Word Chapel, Techny Towers, in Techny (Northbrook), Illinois. Kurt Hansen will present a free pre-concert lecture one hour before each performance.
