Our thoughts and prayers go to his family😞 such a sad tragedy. Hug them loved ones🙏

We are filled with sadness this morning upon hearing the news that Al Dantes Jr. passed away early this morning after an accident in his hometown of L'Anse, Mich.

Dantes was a beacon and a true sportsman in the rally community. He loved rally and would drive "Rexine" to the limit at rallies across the United States. Everyone knew Al, and he had a smile and a handshake for all who approached him.

Dantes was the defending ARA East Coast Regional 2WD champion and is leading the ARA's Central 2WD standings this season. More than that, he was a friend and a father.

He was scheduled to compete at this weekend's Lake Superior Performance Rally, which starts today. He would tell us to Press On, Regardless.

To the Dantes family, and all of his friends and fellow competitors, we offer our support and prayers.
