It's that time of year again! I'm fundraising in earnest for Extra Life. Folks sponsor my gaming marathon with donations, and everything I raise goes directly to helping kids at Rady Children's Health.

To make things more fun I'm offering donation incentives. You could get your hands on some of my treasured crafting supplies. And seeing as it's a children's hospital fundraiser, I've got a lot of stuffies and sewing patterns for children's clothes up for grabs.

Save the date! I'm going to have a piece in this show and I'd love to see you there. It's gonna have DJs, live performances, refreshments and more! Honestly they had me at refreshments. (I'll put the link to get tickets in my story.)

Folks! Halloween is when I am at my most powerful! I'm doing fun stuff in October. First up is another group art show at Subterranean Coffee. If you come to the opening on Sunday October 4th you might see me in one of my handmade glow in the dark ghost dresses. (I have two. 👻)

The Jimothy show is still up, so if you think it's weird to get excited for Halloween in September you can stretch out the summer a little longer.

Hey San Diego friends! If you haven't heard, I'm part of this group art show at Subterranean Coffee in North Park. It'll be up until 9/27 so you should stop by and check it out (and def try the black sesame honey latte) if you're in the neighborhood!

I haven't been in town very long but the local art scene is already very active and friendly. I'm signed up for another show here next month, and I'm already working on something fun coming up in February.

I don't know how people handle all the big heavy stuff in life without arts and crafts.

Friends! Two things:

One, I'm going to have a piece featured in this Jimothy themed art show! You should come to the opening on 9/6! Or stop by later in September and give it a look.

Two, if you invite me to an event with an Ai flyer, I'm not coming. I made this flyer with a free template from ✨ Hex Reject Art ✨ and it took me all of fifteen minutes. (Check them out! Tons of templates you can use. Just leave the watermark intact.)

If you're not excited enough about your event to make a flyer, it doesn't sound worth my time or gas money.

So let's drink coffee made by humans and look at art made by humans and savor being alive! 🦝💖

My stuff came! My house is still chaos but we can finally use some of the rooms. And! We have enough space to sit on furniture now. So I made this little pig doodle based on the new Odyssey movie.

There are valid criticisms to be made, but just the same, I liked the film a lot. I actually saw it twice. Weirdly enough the Circe scene was more emotional the second time. Probably because I knew what was going to happen so I wasn't as taken aback by the special effects and could actually just sit with the lines.

Found myself feeling weird about it hours later, and hey, that's what art is for. I might make a couple more of these.

More cross stitch! I'm on the Jimothy train. I made this frame from my Tender Treasures pattern book, but I wasn't sure what to put in the middle. Then I saw this Jimothy design by THE SNOWFLOWER DIARIES Cross Stitch Patterns and I knew it was meant to be. The message is especially fitting considering I made a ton of mistakes. But things can still be beautiful and still matter even if they're not perfect. Stay weird, everybody.
