A week has passed since the first official day of SR&B Festival 2022 and dang we miss it already!!! This year’s fest was a dream come true and we are feeling very thankful🧡 endless thanks to everyone involved, with an extra special thanks to our amazing staff!!! It cannot be said enough how none of this would be possible without all of your hard work, you are all the best!

Tomorrow marks the kick-off for this year's festival with An Acoustic Evening featuring Jimmy "Duck" Holmes, Jontavious Willis, and Southern Avenue! This event is a collaboration between ourselves and the lovely folks over at Sisters Folk Festival, which will be hosted at Sisters Art Works.

LESS THAN A WEEK until this year's Sisters Rhythm & Brews Festival and, as luck would have it, it looks like we are going to have absolutely gorgeous weather the whole weekend! ☀️

Currently the forecasts are saying that the high for all three days will be right around 90° Fahrenheit, including the Thursday pre-festival show put on by Sisters Folk Festival!

If you haven't heard, DLO3's longtime drummer Dan Weiss has left the band due to unforeseen circumstances. Not to worry though, the incredible jazz drummer Julian MacDonough has stepped in to fill the role. Julian has been a close friend of Delvon for well over 16 years and will bring a lot of energy to the stage!

Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio will be performing at Sisters Rhythm & Brews 2022 on August 13th, the second day of the festival.

We are honored to have Brownout join this year's Sisters Rhythm & Brews lineup!

A 9-piece outfit formed sixteen years ago by members of Grammy Award-winning Latin revival orchestra Grupo Fantasma, Brownout has evolved into a musical force all its own. After garnering three Austin Music Awards, the band has continued to produce music that is unflinchingly progressive, while evoking the classic influences of artists such as WAR, Cymande and Funkadelic.

While regularly touring the U.S. Brownout has also served as a highly in-demand backing band for artists including Prince, Daniel Johnston, GZA and Bernie Worrell.

Many people want to know if we are strictly a blues festival. As lovers of all genres of music and an appreciation for the artists, it would be disingenuous to put Rhythm and Brews in one single box. We like to view the festival as an opportunity to bring fresh new music to the Central Oregon scene. Our passion is to create a diverse and wildly talented line up.

Our attitude towards the blues is probably best explained by the great Willie Dixon, who said:

"The blues are the roots and the other musics are the fruits. It's better keeping the roots alive, because it means better fruits from now on. The blues are the roots of all American music. As long as American music survives, so will the blues."

From the outset, we have strived to create a unique lineup from top to bottom that highlights the “roots” with a generous sprinkling of the “fruits”!

“Does the music support the art or does the art support the music?”

Stan Street grew up in a house of music, with his father and uncle playing classical percussion, they helped pave the way for his love of the blues. On harmonica, sax and percussion, Stan Street is a touring multi-instrumentalist who was originally from Florida. However, he found himself being drawn to the Mississippi Delta in search of the primordial blues that are conveyed in his abstract pieces. In addition to being a talented musician, Stan conveys the blues through canvas, where his expressionism is cast in bold swaths of color and texture in his original paintings.

The producers of the festival met Stan Street in Clarksdale, Mississippi in January of 2020, where they fell in love with one of his pieces called “Rust Bucket” after some chatting about their journey to find music and artists that represent their vision. A digital file was purchased and the birth of this year's poster began.

After being stalled from the pandemic and several disappointing variations, the founder of the festival, Jennifer reached out to the creative experts Courtney Rambo and Habiba Sial at Intellitonic marketing firm. With their collaborative efforts, a look and feel that represented 2022 was developed. We hope you love it as much as we do, we could not be happier with how it turned out.
