Took some portraits of this bride on Door County's iconic Pebble Beach. It's one of only a handful of beaches in the world where the beach is entirely comprised of limestone rocks with nary a grain of sand in sight. Definitely a one-of-a-kind beach. And it's a coincidence that she is a geologist (groom too)!

One of my favorite family shoots of 2021 was photographing the addition of baby Ezra. The shoot took place at their family log cabin in Sister Bay in the middle of spring. It was a warm day, for May. Engagement portraits are some of my favorite photos to capture. Hello! I'm Katie. I'm a wife, and mom to a five-year-old little boy, and three-year-old twin girls. I grew up in Door County and consider it my home away from home. We reside there every summer with my kids with my parents nearby. Our favorite summer activities include picking the wild thimbleberries that grow by the bushel during the summer around our family property, swimming at a different beach every day for the first 2 weeks of the season, watching the storms roll in, and hearing the thunder echo off the bay, catching frogs, fishing, and hiking. If you know Door County, name this dock's location! I grew up jumping off of this pier every single summer. For the last two years, it has looked like everyone walks on water. The Lake has been so high, the water skims the top. And now I get to watch my kids play here. You can always tell the locals from the tourists because the locals jump right in, whereas the tourists can barely dip their big toe in. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
