The Jar is proud to host the South Dakota Amateur Pickleball Championships — a PPA (Professional Pickleball Association) sanctioned tournament bringing serious competition, big energy, and some of the best amateur play in the region.

Where? The Jar, Sioux Falls
When? July 17–19

Whether you’re competing or coming to watch, this is the kind of weekend you don’t want to miss. Fast rallies, packed courts, loud crowds, and that electric tournament atmosphere you can only get in person.

We’re building something BIG — and we want this to be a full house.

We’re kicking off a new weekly series where your best (and most chaotic) pickleball moments get their time to shine: Save My Play of the Week!

First up: a BODY BAG ATP 🔥
If you’re new to the game—an ATP (Around The Post) is when a player sends the ball around the outside of the net post instead of over it. Legal. Rare. And honestly… disrespectful in the best way.

And a “body bag”? Yeah… that’s exactly what it sounds like. When a shot goes straight at a player and there’s no time to react. No escape. Point to the assassin.

This series is all about the fun side of the game—big wins, funny moments, unexpected chaos, and everything in between.

This is a great opportunity for our pickleball community to learn simple, effective tools to move better, recover faster, and stay on the court longer.

We’re especially excited to welcome the providers leading this clinic — they’re new members of our pickleball community and bring a passion for helping athletes feel and perform their best.

The Force was strong in this one.

Jar Wars 2026 brought the energy. The rivalry brought the fire. But the community? That’s the real win.🔥

Red vs Blue. Sith vs Jedi.
But once play started - it was all respect and great pickleball.

🏆 In the end… the Jedi rose victorious!
