When your client wants a fun piece displayed on the back of his American Alligator feeder door, you make it happen! 🐊
Andrew and Stacey, owners of the Reptile Adventure Zoo, understand the importance of artwork in their business. They first hired me to paint several LARGE murals throughout their zoo (entryway, party room, photo backdrop, animal exhibits, etc). These all enhanced the customer experience and each photo taken in front of the murals is all FREE marketing for years to come. 🙌
Then they wanted to spruce up their back space with a whimsy painting for their staff. This was painted at home and adhered to the back of their Alligator feeder door. At dinner time, staff smile a little bit more entering this exhibit!
Thanks for supporting local artists Reptile Adventure Zoo 🐊💚 can't wait to come back and say hi to all my reptile friends I've made. 💚💚💚

About to start painting my most important mural yet. 💙👶
This one's been harder to start knowing how much I'll be in this room taking care of my baby boy (& critiquing every square inch of the mural, lol).
Between baby showers, work, events, projects, traveling... life has FINALLY simmered down just enough for me to paint and get this room put together.
Let's hope he doesn't decide to come early, because we still need to get the hospital bags packed! 🙃

Stage 2 complete on this room! In a few weeks I'll start on the big mural! Since this is my own house, weeknights are the only free time to make some progress. 🙃 can anyone relate? Lol

I love that this abstract mural with the motivational quote acts as a "vision board" or mantra of sorts. Waking up to these words is everything! 💪

What a pleasure to have facilitated my first ever panel discussion! I was able to highlight the talents of 3 artists for SculptureWalk Sioux Falls.

Sung-Hee Min (Roseville, MN), Luke Achterberg (La Crosse, WI), and Nate Johansen (Provo, UT) shared their "behind-the-scene" experience of being a sculpturist.

SculptureWalk Sioux Falls has been bringing art to the streets for over 23years. Just over the past few days, 80 entirely new sculptures were installed Downtown Sioux Falls. 😮😮😮

I appreciate you, Jim Mathis, for choosing me to moderate, & Kara Mathis for running the slides!

When I found out the local Elementary school kids lacked regular art access, I jumped at the chance to volunteer.

I spoke to two classes about integrating art into daily life and business, then they created their own landscape masterpieces. What's amazing is a donor provided all art supplies! 🎨🖌

The kids' excitement and creativity were inspiring. They're so fearless!
