🎧 A Little About My DJ Journey

I started learning how to DJ in the fall of 2023, inspired by my father, who spent more than 20 years as a club DJ. Music and DJing were always around me, but I eventually decided it was time to step behind the decks myself!

Just a few months into learning, I was given the opportunity to shadow wedding DJs and potentially become part of an established company. That experience introduced me to the wedding industry and taught me so much, but deep down, I knew I wanted to build something of my own. I had always dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur, and DJing gave me the opportunity to turn that dream into something real. (Brody, if you see this thank you for everything you shared with me along the way! 😊)

For about a year, I DJed at bars and clubs throughout Sioux Falls. I had some incredible experiences, but I quickly realized that nothing compared to the feeling I got from DJing weddings. There’s something special about being trusted with the soundtrack to one of the biggest days of someone’s life, and seeing a dance floor full of their favorite people celebrating together.

Fast forward to summer 2026: I’ve stepped away from the club scene and now focus primarily on weddings and corporate events. Since starting this journey, I’ve learned an incredible amount, invested heavily into my equipment and business, and continued working to make every event better than the last.

My goal has never been to make every wedding feel the same. I want each event to reflect the people I’m celebrating… unique, personal, and FUN.

I’m incredibly grateful for every couple, client, friend, family member, and supporter who has trusted me, recommended me, encouraged me, or cheered me on along the way. You’ve helped me turn something I started learning just a few years ago into a business I genuinely love.

And I’m only getting started. ❤️🎧🪩

On July 18, 2026, we had the honor of celebrating the marriage of Kinsey Washington & Buunku Washington! 🤍

I’m so grateful they chose me to be a part of such a special day. Their wedding took place at the Missouri Avenue Event Center in Pierre, South Dakota, with a beautiful outdoor ceremony overlooking the Missouri River.

After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed an incredible buffet lovingly prepared by the bride’s mother, followed by heartfelt speeches from family and friends. We also had a blast playing fun games, and the groom’s sister gifted everyone with a beautiful live performance that made the evening even more memorable.

When it was time to dance… the guys definitely kept that dance floor alive all night long! 🔥💃🕺

Kinsey & Buunku, thank you again for trusting me to be part of your wedding day. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness! ❤️
