February 23rd was large group contest for our Symphony and JV Orchestras. Our students played their best and could not have been better representatives of Lincoln High School in their performance or actions. 2 perfect scores with added + for our Symphony Orchestra, and 2 Superior ratings for JV Orchestra. Celebrations are due for all!
JV Orchestra performed Mozart Symphony 25, Movement 1 and Ancient Wonders Suite by Todd Parrish, and Symphony Orchestra performed Brahms Hungarian Dance #1, Adagio from "Spartacus" by Khatchaturian, and The Poet and Peasant Overture by Franz von Suppe.

On March 12th our Lincoln High School Orchestra students had the extreme privilege of hosting the Concordia College Orchestra for an entire day of clinics, and our Symphony Orchestra students were able to share the stage with them for some side by side pieces at the concert. We had our first ever solo/ensemble recital night for our Lincoln High School Orchestra students on March 5th. All students had to prepare a chamber piece to perform, and they received adjudication from some excellent educators. Congratulations students on some excellent performances, and thank you Andrew Robert Travers , Grace Goeller and Faith Stevens for your work with our students!

Our first official post is an invitation to our upcoming spring concert this Thursday, May 14th at 6:30pm in the Lincoln High School Auditorium. We will be performing works by Mendelssohn, Bernstein, Tchaikovsky, Mahler, Newbold, Meyer and more! There truly is something for everyone and we hope you can join us!
