What a great 4 days we had at the VNEA international pool tournament. (July 23rd -26th). There were 400 kids that attended this tournament, 50 from the great state of South Dakota, and 21 of those 50 from the Sioux Falls Junior Leagues.
In those 4 days the kids played in singles, scotch doubles and 3-person team events.
I am so proud of the Sioux Falls kids they played great, showed a huge amount of heart, had a ton of fun and above all they showed great sportsmanship.
With that said, I would like to congratulate all of the kids for a great effort, and give a shout out to 2 players that won Charlie’s (The name for the VNEA’s trophy’s). Mr. Joe Sundvold won his Charlie with a fantastic 2nd place finish in the Major singles redemption tournament. And Miss Alysha Beck on not only getting 2nd in the Women’s Major singles tournament but also getting the honor of being chosen to the Duck Hawkins All Star team.
Congratulations to all that participated this year in leagues and hope to see all of you, and hopefully some new kids, back next year.
I also want to thank all parents for taking time to bring the kids to leagues and our sponsors: Keith Kues, Lions Concrete, Claypool Brothers, Hang Nails Salon , Victory Aviation Services, Perrion Custom services, Katherine Ann Photography, Regal Electric, GJR Services, and MeloHues for the work on all of the team shirts.

Juniors, remember that you need to order your nationals jerseys, by Aug 7th. The sooner you do it the better chance of them having your size.

Hello Juniors. The brackets for the VNEA Junior Nationals, that are coming up this week, are up on CompuSport. Please look and see when you start singles and team competitions. Don’t forget that this Wednesday evening,the day before Nationals, the Rapid City Juniors and our Sioux Falls juniors are invited to come down to Rack City to practice at about 6:30pm. I will also be there with all the shirts if you would like to pick them up. Hope to see you there. Lanny

For those 2 teams that bought their own shirts, I need them as soon as possible so we can get the sponsors on the back. I have all the shirts that I ordered so if you want them before nationals, get a hold of me to make arrangements. Otherwise I will bring them to Sioux City.

Ok Juniors, we only have tomorrow and June 20th left of leagues. Some of you still need weeks in for nationals. This week is our pizza party and sign ups for nationals . Hope you can all show up.

The season is almost over Juniors. Make sure you get your weeks in. You can check the music service website to see how many games you have in. You need 30 to qualify for nationals. Thanks
