we are hosting a raffle for a Symmetry Music & Arts Festival ticket giveaway at the event.

The rules are simple.

Artist Spotlight: Youngsta

Representing London, UK, we are excited to be welcoming back one of the original pioneers of dubstep who has been in the scene since a pr***en, watching the birth and evolution of dubstep over the last 2 and a half decades. Youngsta was one of the the first dubstep dj to walk into the club. As a teenager with his older sister and friends being the chaperone, he mixed the most exclusive dubplates inside these grungy venue spaces.

As head of A&R for Tempa Records (the worlds first and oldest dubstep label) and founder of Sentry Records, Youngsta has been at the frontlines of the dubstep community since dubstep was named "dubstep". With his extremely precise and technical mixing style and monstrous library. He's been carrying the torch and representing the culture with the utmost respect and honor. Dubstep will never die as long as we have champion selectas like our friend Youngsta standing behind the decks.

Come see him Saturday, August 29th, at the Waiting Room for a night of dubstep, community, art and dance.

Artist spotlight: quasar

Representing Paris, France, Quasar has been producing and pushing quality heavyweight dubstep tunes for the last decade. Creating some of the most recognizable and hard-hitting tunes, he quickly became one of the industry's most notable names over the years.

He took a hiatus for quite some time but is back and on tour in the states, leveling every system he's touched so far. The music speaks for itself. The French soundsystem addict is back creating and doing better than ever. We are honored to host, in our humble opinion, one of the best dubstep artists in the world, here with our community in Omaha.

Artist Spotlight: Rolando Ramiro aka Oldgold

Representing Austin Texas, we present America's #1 dubstep coyote. Oldgold is known for his unique DJ'ing style of "scaring, yet enticing the hoes" with distorted soundscapes, frequencies, and intense basslines, and his music can be described all the same. He is committed to creating an auditory experience of complex sonic frequencies and themes that both shock and awe the listener that keeps them coming back for more.

As the owner and founder of the Silent Motions Records label, he's been at the forefront of pushing the boundaries and providing a platform for dubstep to evolve with the times by allowing new and existing artists to find a home for their music.

We are happy to be having one of our closest industry friends out for the inaugural episode of this special series this Saturday, August 29th at the Waiting Room in Omaha, NE.

Artist spotlight: Eylxr

Representing Minneapolis Minnesota. Eylxr is an activist and musician with many talents and hats to wear in this industry. She is an instructor for Slam Acadamy in Minneapolis, a co founder of the Caravan Sound system, and creator of the Roots and Branches upholstery/apothecary brand rooted in a focus to uplift and revitalize her community whether it be through sound, education, or a complimentary repurposed fashion piece or herbal blended tea to help rejuvenate your insides. 

As an artist, Eylxr's sound is as rooted to the sound and ground she covers much like the rest of her projects. Its an open invitation to unmask and revel in the deep luscious sub levels they've dug up from their crates and created in their free time. We are excited to have our good friend out for this special opening session.
