🎭 AUDITIONS ANNOUNCED: THE PILLOWMAN 🎭

The Tom Peterson Black Box Theatre at Sioux City Community Theatre is searching for actors for The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh!

Join us for auditions:

Show Dates: October 23-Nov 1, 2026.

No preparation is needed — auditions will consist of readings from the script. Come ready to explore a challenging, thought-provoking story and bring these complex characters to life.

In The Pillowman, a writer is interrogated about a series of disturbing stories he has written—stories that may be connected to real-life events. This dark and compelling play examines storytelling, creativity, censorship, and the impact of the stories we tell.

⚠️ Content Warning: This production contains mature themes, including violence, child abuse references, death, disturbing fictional stories involving children, strong language, and psychological distress. This show is intended for mature audiences.

If you’re looking for a powerful theatrical challenge, we encourage you to audition. We can’t wait to see you!
