Joy Wasz is best known for depicting her various subjects in an honest and genuine way, just as she is perceived by most who know her. Joy is a local artist who has been painting and teaching art out of her home studio in Simsbury, CT for over 30 years. Having grown up in southern New Hampshire and majoring in Fine Art at Colby-Sawyer College, Joy gets her inspiration from many different things –

family, travel, love of children, animals, and nature. She has concentrated primarily on painting in watercolor and acrylic. Most of Joy’s art proceeds go to support her humanitarian passion; Selamtafamilyproject.org, developing forever families and bright futures for orphaned children, marginalized women and families at risk of breaking apart in Ethiopia.
