First week of camp was a great success! We had three bands that performed three songs each. Two songs were cover tunes and one song was an original.

We opened the show at 12 noon Friday with the whole camp performing “The Saints Go Marching In” and a string Quartet leading the introduction.

Thank you all for an awesome concert and we hope to see you for the next camp sessions! 🎵 ☀️ 🎶 🎷

We had a great week of recitals, with one more to go this Sunday at 11 AM with Alex‘s students. Thank you to all the students, parents and teachers for a lovely week of performances!

Also, a big shout out to State Line Oil and Propane. I called this morning at 8:30 AM for service on the air conditioner and they were out to my place by 9:30 AM. They fixed the problem and we now have air conditioning for this Sunday’s recital. Thanks so much, State Line Oil.

Girl from Ipanema, 1963. One of my all-time favorites.
He got his sound from Lester Young, another jazz giant. Conversation and improvisation, so insightful.
