My time at the Miss Rodeo Washington pageant was an experience I’ll always cherish. I participated as an exhibition contestant, which gave me the opportunity to experience everything a Miss Rodeo Washington contestant would, including horsemanship, a written test, personal and horsemanship interviews, speeches, onstage questions, and even a fashion show.
The fashion show was one of my favorite parts because I got to dance while wearing my chaps, showcase a fashion-forward outfit, and wear an elegant formal dress. Each part of the pageant challenged me to grow, step outside my comfort zone, and embrace the person I am becoming.
I’m especially grateful to the Miss Rodeo Washington Board for allowing me to participate in the pageant as I prepare for the Miss Rodeo America pageant. Their support gave me the opportunity to gain valuable experience, strengthen my confidence, and better understand the dedication and preparation required of a titleholder.
I also want to do a thank you to the judges, chaperones and volunteers who all helped put the pageant on and make it what it was! It was so nice to see my mom out in the audience as my number 1 biggest supporter forever and always. I also got to see my other 3 title holders during pageant which was so nice and heartwarming!
This experience allowed me to meet incredible people, build meaningful friendships, and learn more about confidence, leadership, preparation, and representing something bigger than myself. I’m grateful for the memories, encouragement, and lessons I’ll carry with me long after the pageant. Participating in Miss Rodeo Washington as an exhibition contestant was more than a competition. It was a meaningful chapter filled with growth, connection, and moments I’ll never forget.
I will share more photos from pageant after the amazing Roseanna Sales gets done working her magic on editing the photos she got during the pageant!
