Our cast & team for The Catastrophist is here!

The Catastrophist is a smart, funny, intimate show about Nathan Wolfe, a world-renowned virologist whose career has taken him around the globe studying viruses and anticipating potential outbreaks. Josh Blanchard stars in the production, returning to the stage after eight years away. Many in our community will remember Josh as Theatre SilCo’s former Executive Director, so this is a special homecoming for those who know him.

You don’t want to miss this powerful performance that will leave you with plenty to talk about afterwards.

Join us for this free community event at Theatre SilCo exploring the themes of Tenderly: The Rosemary Clooney Musical and the importance of mental health awareness, connection, and local support. Representatives from Theatre SilCo, Building Hope, Mile High Integrated Care, and Prescription for the Arts will share perspectives, personal experiences, and helpful resources as we use theatre to open conversation and strengthen community.

We invite you to a special evening of conversation and celebrating new voices in theatre...

On Monday, August 24 at 7:00pm, our playwriting initiative, New Dialogues, turns its attention to Tenderly: The Rosemary Clooney Musical.

This special evening features all-female playwrights sharing original work inspired by Tenderly and the themes at the heart of Rosemary Clooney’s story.

For those who’ve seen the production, it’s a chance to continue the conversation beyond the stage. And for our SilCo Women for the Arts community, it’s another opportunity to celebrate stories and creative voices by and about women.

Theatre SilCo is pleased to bring you New Dialogues, an exciting playwriting initiative that puts imagination under pressure while bringing fresh perspectives to the stage.

Created to provide playwrights with an opportunity that both challenges and cultivates their writing skills, New Dialogues invites four playwrights to compose a ten-minute play in response to a Theatre SilCo Mainstage production. Playwrights have just a week to write their play and three hours to rehearse with a director and actors, ahead of a reading on the set of the Mainstage production.

Our latest event for this series is called New Dialogues: Tenderly, where our playwrights take in a performance of this powerful production, and use it as inspiration for their original plays. What happens when writers put their creativity on the clock to produce a theatrical response to this classic story?
